Playoff baseball will take the blood straight out of your head.

*

Maybe if we don’t move, we’ll win. What do you think?

*

Who knows who to trust — this team could go all the way.

*

It feels like every October we fall from this spot, but 2016 will be different.

*

Sure they have grit, but they have no bullpen, and we are relaxed.

*

The pinch hitter swung fine, and took us to the next round with it.

*

Our manager is sober and our pitching coach has an idea. Everything is good.

*

Who cares about short rest and double switches? Give us an out-of-nowhere blast.

*

The drunk man yelled this is no time to melt down, and we’ll be finished if we don’t hit the baseball.

*

Waiting for the next game in a phone booth underground. Every day there is a game tomorrow, so be ready.

*

Uncle left a message. He says he can’t watch and don’t tell him what happens.

*

One more game. And hopefully some more. And if we’re lucky, more.
